SAVE a life ADOPT a rescue

Home      Home      About us
As long as I can remember I have been in love♥♥ with horses. Seriously... aren't all girls "IN LOVE WITH HORSES"? My love for them was made a reality in 7th grade when I made friends with a classmate that had her own horse! I would spend the night at her house every weekend that I could & we would go to the stables, clean, groom, feed, ride, bath, etc. with her horse & her friends horses at the stables. I even went on a few trail rides there but I wanted "more" deep down inside. By the way, I am still friends with her! Thank you Robin for letting me be a part of your life & love of Tess, I will never forget those times & that mare! My love of all animals expanded from there.

Now that I'm grown, married with a family of my own we were able to pursue my dream & my passion. I found a 40 acre property out on the eastern plains of Colorado and the dream has become a reality. My family is so supportive and we all are helping the animals here on the ranch. There are 4 members in my family; my husband, son, daughter, and myself. We are a non-profit privately run animal rescue and care for all the animals; horses, burros, llamas, chickens, peacocks, turkeys, Emu, dogs, cats, Parakeets, Cockatiels, parrots, snakes, rodents, turtle, fish. We have an eclectic collection of animals here, if it needs a safe place and we have space  our gates are open. Our days are full of many successes, loving and caring for all the critters besides our daily routines and responsibilities of work, school and home. We have learned that there is no such thing as "taking the day off" and there is never a dull moment around here. Don't get me wrong there are also days of tears, heartache, worries about the animals here but the successes and love we are given out weigh them all! It's hard work but worth every second of it and extremely rewarding! We love♥ our home, our ranch, our family, all our critters, and livin' the country life!

I work from home with Avon, Cello In a Box®, Ostrich.com, Team Green Fundraising &  Zazzle. These sites are also located on the navigation bar above under "Support Us" in the pull down menu and also can be found on the "Links" tab of the navigation bar. ANIMAL'S TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. My life is likely to last 10-15+ years depending on what type of animal I am.  Any separation from you is likely to be painful for me.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me.  It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me.  Even if I don't understand your words I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you and yet I choose not to.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative ask yourself if something might be bothering me.  Perhaps I'm not getting the right food , I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old.  You too will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey go with me please.  Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone.  Everything is easier for me if you are there because I love you so.

Take a moment today to thank God for your pets.  Enjoy and take good care of them.  Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's creatures. Now please pass this on to other animal owners.  We do not have to wait for Heaven to be surrounded by hope, love and joyfulness.  It is here on Earth and has two or four legs!

You as an animal owner/caretaker are obligated by the law to provide food/water, shelter and medical treatment for me. If you cannot do these things for me please find someone that can and will.  Thank you!
